The terrace and full-width upstairs balcony overlook the river and the beautiful surroundings, which includes Aylesford’s famous medieval bridge. The property has been completed to a high standard throughout, combined with this unique setting, it provides the perfect riverside getaway.

The Cottage

There is private off road parking for 2 cars and a small cobbled play area with an outdoor terrace leading from the ground floor lounge/diner and looking straight over the river. Downstairs is a contemporary well-equiped kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine as well as a double bedroom. The downstairs bathroom, features a whirlpool spa bath, rain shower with hand held attachment, w/c and basin. Up-stairs offers a double bedroom with a king size bed and access to a large balcony overlooking the river, it has its own ensuite bathroom including a roll top bath with hand shower, separate walk-in jet shower, w/c and basin. There is an additional access to the master bedroom via spiral staircase from the river front terrace. Also upstairs is a sun room with access to the balcony as well as a TV and a sofa bed, there is additional linen available to offer flexible sleeping arrangements if required (max occupancy remains at 4).

The Location

Aylesford is a historic village at the foot of the North Downs. It has a fine selection of period buildings clustered around the charming high street, church and river. The bridge was an important crossing point and there is a c13th Carmelite priory on the edge of the village. Adding to the history, there are plenty of castles to explore in the immediate area too, with Leeds and Allington around 10 minutes drive. Good shops, pubs and restaurants and a railway station within walking distance. The Hengist is at the bottom of the road – a super restaurant! Nearby Maidstone is Kents County Town and has a full range of shops and amenities. You are just 20mins from Ebsfleet International station with a direct line London St Pancras in just 20mins and further connections to Paris and Brussels. You are also within short reach of the M20 and M2 motorways, providing easy and fast links all over the county and beyond!
