This converted farm building offers a uniquely designed ‘cottage’ ideal for a couple. It is constructed and finished to a good standard to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The accommodation comprises of an attractive timbered living and dining area, with comfortable seating and a cosy feel. This creates a tranquil, friendly atmosphere set in beautiful countryside…essential ingredients for a restful holiday.
The Cottage
A short flight of stairs leads to the sleeping gallery, with double bed and sloping ceiling with velux windows. Another small set of stairs from the living area takes you down to a fully equipped kitchen. Cooking is by fan oven, hob unit and microwave, all the utensils that you should need, to make your stay as relaxed as possible, are provided. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, wash basin and toilet. The cottage has fitted carpets, oil fired central heating and is provided with TV/DVD, radio and CD player. There is a secluded patio area and ample parking.
The Location
Nestled in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Beauty, the Duckpit Valley is wonderful example of rolling chalk downland countryside, punctuated by species rich woodland. Abundant with wildlife, badgers can be seen on an evening stroll, nightingales sing from the nature reserves and buzzards soar over the valley. Nearby Downland reserves are a sanctuary for rare species of orchid, and other ornate plants such as cowslips. A good network of well maintained footpaths and bridle ways, criss-cross the valleys, enabling you to explore the beautiful countryside. The area also has a wide array of welcoming restaurants and pubs, serving food to meet all preferences. The City of Canterbury is steeped in history, and only 8 miles away. The City boasts a spectacular Cathedral and excellent shopping facilities. The channel ports and Tunnel are only 40 mins drive, and the Eurostar departs from Ashford to Paris offering an exciting option for a day out with a difference. The North Downs is an outstanding area for simple pleasures of walking, and enjoying the history of the area.
