Orchard Oast, Smarden
This upper level Oast House conversion is in an ideal setting for those wanting to walk to the pub and to enjoy being in one of (in my opinion) the loveliest villages in Kent! Orchard Oast is situated between the owners country house and a property used in a film for one of Agatha Christies famous Novels. There is a lawned garden with furniture to the front of the property for your use and off road parking.

Stairs to large open plan lounge, dining area with views to rear. New carpets throughout! The Kitchen is Galley style and has most of what is needed for a week away. A separate utility room with washing machine and dryer are on the ground level. The shower room with w/c and basin is of good size. There is a large round Master bedroom with double bed. A twin bedroom also in a roundel and a good size 3rd bedroom with single bed and space for a cot.
The Location.
Smarden is everything you imagine a Kent Country village to be. 3 pubs within walking distance, a post office with small store and a host of period properties. The "Darling Buds of May" series was filmed quite close by. Nearby Headcorn has a direct rail link to London or nearby Ashford (with its designer Outlet Centre). There are shops and takeaways in Headcorn. Tenterden is a must and offers a great choice of restaurants, tea rooms and has 2 supermarkets. Access to all parts of Kent is good from this central location. A day trip to Rye and Camber Sands is well worth considering.
