The views are fantastic from every room and although the owners lake and Barn are private they add to the overall charm of this stunning location. You can walk in the owners field and small bluebell woodland. Please be advised the lake is deep and not fenced.
The Oast
The property is entered via the Lounge which will comfortably sit more 5 persons. There is a large window with views to the lake. The dining area is adjacent and leads to the well equipped integeral kitchen, that includes a full size dishwasher. Upstairs offers an attractive twin bedroom with 3ft beds overlooking the patio area. The bathroom has a bath with quality shower over, w/c and basin. The double bedroom gets that lovely view of the lake and benifits from a large pine wardrobe. All rooms are accessed via a pretty landing area.
The Location

Dering Oast is located on the outskirts of one of Kents prettiest villages, Smarden. You are within walking distance of the village pubs and post office. Many films have been made in various properties in the area including Darling Buds of May. Nearby Tenterden and Headcorn offer a great choice of supermarkets, shops and restaurants. There is a mainline station from Headcorn or nearby Pluckley and a steam railway to Bodiam Castle from Tenterden. Good central base for all of Kents many attracions.
