This converted Georgian Oast dates back to c1744 and retains some of its original timbers on show. The property has just been completely renovated and benifits from a new kitchen with built in appliances and a new bathroom. It also benifits from a w/c on the ground floor. Wireless broadband is available free of charge. There are some great walks from this property through Apple orchards to the local or into the City. Direct line trains to London.
The Cottage
The entrance hall leads to a good size and well equipped kitchen with separate dining room. The lounge benifits from a working open coal or log fire and has patio doors to a private rear garden. There is a separate w/c with basin on this level.There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom including bath with shower over, w/c and basin. The main bedroom has a 5ft double and 2 very large double wardrobes and is of good size. There is a twin bedded room and a single bedroom which can take the put you up style bed for the 6th person. This can also be used in the double bedroom or downstairs if preferred.
The Location.

What can't you say about Canterbury and its surrounding villages and hamlets! Steeped in history as far back as recorded time. The Romans were very evident in Kents only City as were the Normans. Enjoy The Cathedral, St Augustines Abbey c 597AD and Englands oldest parish church, St Martins. All 3 are World Heritage sites! Museums, The walled City centre, Marlowe theatre and some great shopping and International restaurants show why Canterbury is one of Englands top destinations. You can walk to the City from Matthews Oast and enjoys some great views on the way. Shepherds Naeme Brewery trips, Howletts Zoo, local sports centre and Seaside town of Whitstable within a 15 minute drive.
