Lawn Cottage, Herne Bay
Lawn Cottage is set in the private grounds of a large period property in Herne Bay on the North Kent coast. The views from the property look out onto the lovely garden which can be used by guests. You can walk to the sea in a few minutes passing through a glimpse of years gone by on the way. Herne Bays Victorian past very evident! The cottage offers a good reminder of the past but include many of todays comforts.
The Cottage
Do not be fooled by the word cosy. This property offers good sized accommodation for 2 persons. The large Kitchen/Diner offers Electric oven and hob, Convection Microwave, Washer/Dryer etc. The lounge has an open brick fireplace (not in use),Flat screen TV, Freeview box and DVD player. Up stairs the double bedroom with exposed beams has good storage and the ensuite shower room with w/c and basin has a staircase that leads down to the garden.
The Location
Many of Kent's best beaches are not far from this location and the seaside town of Whitstable, famous for its fish is 3 miles away. Margate and world famous Canterbury are just 6 miles. Walking along the North Kent coast has to be the must of a stay at this cottage. The Roman remains of Reculver Towers and Fort are within reach by foot.
