White kemp, Nr New Romney
I was sitting on the raised decking just outside of the open french doors on my recent visit, looking out at the lovely Romney Marsh. The owner could have been forgiven for wondering if i was staying for the week! This well presented lodge offers great accommodation in a very quiet and peaceful location. The sea is just a 10 minute drive!
The Cottage
Good sized lounge/dining area with doors to decking and garden. Comfortable furnishings with large flatscreen TV offering Freeview. Galley style Kitchen leading to Shower room with w/c and basin. Lovely double bedroom with Victorian style bed and one twin bedroom, both with storage.
The Location
This countryside location on the Romney Marsh is as a remote a place as you will find in Kent. You are just 10 minutes from the historic hilltop town of Rye with its cobbled streets, harbour, antique shops and good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Brookland is the nearest village and offers 2 pubs serving food. The lovely 12c Thomas a Becket church lies a few fields away. Monthly service held. Camber Sands is probably one of the best beaches in the South East and is only a 10 minute drive. The owners son offers competitive Kitesurfing packages at this beach. Ashfords Designer Outlet is a must for shopperholics! Tenterden, Hythe and Bodiam Castle are all worth a visit. Easy access to France by ferry or train
